How It Works

Getting to and from campus.

Madison Highland Prep offers school bus service within our pick-up and drop-off range, plus Valley Metro transit cards for students who live outside it.

School bus service

We run a school bus with assigned stops inside our pick-up and drop-off range. Request a stop using the transportation form below. Every rider boards with a valid student ID and follows the bus rules.

Plan your route

For Valley Metro city bus information, call (602) 253-5000, give them your address, and Valley Metro will provide directions on how to arrive at Madison Highland Prep.

Valley Metro transit cards

Valley Metro transit cards are available for students who reside outside of the school bus pick-up and drop-off range. Transit cards require approval and a parent permission form before being issued. Approved students will receive a transit card to ride to school and to return home.

Bus rules

Violation of the bus rules will result in a behavioral referral to the principal and could lead to suspension of bus privileges.

  1. 1Student ID is required for boarding the bus. Access will be denied to students without a valid student ID.
  2. 2Respect the driver, other passengers, and their property.
  3. 3Follow directions immediately when asked.
  4. 4All students must remain in their assigned seats.
  5. 5Talk quietly and keep hands to yourself.
  6. 6Be courteous. Use of profanity, vulgar language, or obscene gestures is not allowed.
  7. 7No food, beverages, or gum on the bus (water is okay).
  8. 8Remain in your seat until the bus comes to a complete stop.
  9. 9Students will only be allowed to exit the bus at their assigned stop, no exceptions.
  10. 10Parents need to call the office for a student to be dropped off at a different stop.
  11. 11Keep all parts of your body inside the bus.
  12. 12No littering or destruction of the bus.
  13. 13Personal belongings shall be under the passenger's control at all times.
  14. 14No hats are allowed to be worn or displayed while on the bus.
  15. 15All school rules apply while on the school bus.
