Good morning. Today is Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Today is a full day of school. School will dismiss at 2:30pm. There are no extracurricular activities this afternoon.

Congratulations to Varsity boys basketball on their 77-59 victory over Salt River High School.

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 23rd, there will be a meeting after school for all students interested in joining SeaPerch Robotics. The meeting will take in F7 at 2:30pm with Ms. Gomez. SeaPerch will begin meeting on Tuesday’s from 2:30 – 3:30 with Ms. Gomez.

Attention Juniors: The 2020 College Prep Scholars Program application will open in early February. Being a College Prep Scholar is a notable distinction that shows our 42 college partners that you are a competitive candidate for admission. As a College Prep Scholar, you will receive exclusive awards and opportunities to develop a strong college application that shares your unique story. Application deadline is March 24, 2020.

Attention MHP! Step back in time for to the Roaring 20's Winter Formal held in our very own gym. The dance will be held from 7 pm to 10 pm on Saturday, February 15. Prices are $15 / individual and $25 / couple OR $20 / person at the door. Tickets will be sold on the commons stage from Monday, February 10th through Friday, February 14th on the commons stage - CC payments will be taken on those days as well. Look around the school starting next week for additional information or see Mrs. Watson in F9. Students bringing a NON-MHP guest will need to have a signed form with the ID and signature of their guest turned in to the office / Ms. Rodriguez no later than Friday, February 14th - NO Exceptions.

There has been a change to Boys Volleyball tryout dates for the 2020 men’s season. Tryouts for the 2020 Men’s volleyball season will take place next week on Monday, January 27th and Friday, January 31st from 2:30 to 4pm. Please see Mr. Dudek in room E5 for more information.

MHP hoodies are on sale. Order forms are available in the front office. The cost for the hoodies are $35.00. Payment and order forms are due to office by Friday, January 31st.
A mandatory pre-tour meeting for the March 2020 trip to Italy and Switzerland is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 22 in the school cafeteria. Senior travelers and their parents will learn about the flight schedule, tour itinerary, airport transportation, safety and currency exchange.
The academic awards assembly recognizing 2nd quarter honor roll and principal list recipients will take place this afternoon. 9th & 10th grade assembly at 1:05 and 11th & 12th grade assembly will follow.

In cafeteria news: payments for breakfast or lunch need to be made before lunch each day or after the cafeteria staff is done serving. Per cafeteria policy, no payments will be accepted during the meal session.
